FAQ
Several families share this page. Deck Build Boxes, such as the Stellar Miracle Deck Build Box from SV7: Stellar Miracle, are aimed at building a deck, as the name says. Card File Sets come in several designs, and SV2a: Pokemon Card 151 has two of them.
Special BOX releases are tied to a Pokémon Center store, such as Tohoku, Fukuoka or Hiroshima.
The oldest is Pikachu's New Friends Collection from SM0: Pikachu's New Friends (2016). The TAG TEAM GX: Deck Build Box and the Sword and Shield Precious Collector Box (2019) come next, then the Lost Abyss Special Set (2022).
At the recent end, M3: Nihil Zero has the Mega Special Card Set: Mega Gallade ex, and M6a: MEGA Expansion 30th Celebration its Futuristic Box.
These are Japanese products, and close names hide different contents. SV9: Battle Partners has a Collection File Set N and a Collection File Set Lillie; the Pokemon Card 151 Card File Set comes as Poke Ball or as Venusaur, Charizard, Blastoise.
Contents vary from one box set to another, so compare the listing with the product page and check that promo cards and accessories are still inside.
A Japanese booster box holds only packs of one set. A box set mixes items, and those extras, as in the Black Bolt & White Flare Card File Set, are often the reason to buy it.
Premium Trainer Boxes, like the VStar Premium Trainer Box, have their own place on the Japanese kits page.
