FAQ
Each card page shows its rarity, and the filter here uses the same labels. Common and Uncommon are the everyday cards of a set, then come Rare and Rare Holo, the second with a shiny picture area. The list goes on with Double Rare, Ultra Rare, Illustration Rare, Special Illustration Rare, Hyper Rare and Secret Rare. The two Illustration rarities put the artwork first, often across the whole card. ACE SPEC Rare marks an ACE SPEC card and Radiant Rare a Radiant Pokémon; a deck can hold only one of each. Browse them set by set from the Pokémon page.
Three finishes are listed for Pokémon singles. Standard has no shine at all. Foil is the classic holo, with the shine in the picture window. Reverse Holo is the opposite layout: the body and border shine while the artwork stays plain.
One card number can exist in several finishes, and each offer states its own, so filter by finish before you compare sellers. Patterned versions, such as Poke Ball Pattern or Master Ball Pattern, are shown as a variant next to the finish. If you would rather open packs, the Pokémon booster packs page lists them by set.
Pokémon cards here follow the English-language releases of the TCG, from Base Set onwards; Japanese sets are listed separately, under Pokémon Japan. On these cards, sellers can list copies in English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Dutch and Brazilian Portuguese.
Each offer shows its language, so a French copy and an English copy of the same Base Set card sit on one card page, as two different offers. Filter the offers by language when you need one in particular, for a deck or for a binder in a single language.
Each set has a page with its cards, their rarities and their offers. Start from a classic such as Base Set or Jungle (both 1999) or from a 2025 release like ME01: Mega Evolution. Special sets have their own pages too, among them SV: Prismatic Evolutions, ME: 30th Celebration and its Classic Collection, and promo lines such as SWSH: Sword & Shield Promo Cards. For the packs and boxes of a set, go to the Pokémon sealed products page.
Because each version gets its own entry. Early prints separate 1st Edition from Unlimited, and the first set also exists as Base Set (Shadowless). Other cards add a pattern variant, such as Energy Symbol Pattern, Love Ball Pattern or Dusk Ball Pattern, or a Holiday Calendar version. The same Pokémon can also turn up in promo sets like Prize Pack Series Cards or League & Championship Cards, each with its own card page. Check the set, the variant and the finish before you add a card to your cart.
