FAQ

  • The OCG, or Official Card Game, is the edition of Yu-Gi-Oh! sold in Japan and across Asia, separate from the Western TCG. Its sets, rarities and card lists differ, so a card can exist in one edition with no direct match in the other. On CardNexus, OCG cards go back to the first sets of 1999, Vol. 1 and Booster 1, and reach 2026 sets such as Blazing Dominion.

Cards here are listed in Japanese and Korean.

  • Besides the usual ladder from Common and Rare to Super Rare, Ultra Rare and Secret Rare, OCG cards come in rarities such as Parallel Rare and its variants (Ultra Parallel Rare, Super Parallel Rare, Secret Parallel Rare), Millennium Rare, 20th Secret Rare, Holographic Rare and Kaiba Corporation Ultra Rare.

A higher rarity does not make a card stronger in a duel. A set page such as Quarter Century Chronicle side:Unity shows the rarity of each card.

  • OCG cards here are listed in Japanese, and some of them in Korean. The language is part of each offer, so a Japanese copy and a Korean copy of a card are separate items with their own prices.

All OCG cards use the Standard finish; the shine is carried by the rarity, such as Secret Rare or Prismatic Secret Rare. To browse by set, start from a page such as Terminal World.

  • Some OCG cards come in variants listed apart from the regular print: Alternate Art and Extended Art change the picture, there are Classic Style and Original Layout versions, and Reprint marks a later printing. Other variants are named Logo, Red or Blue.

Sets built around artwork, such as Quarter Century Art Collection and Original Artwork Collection, have their own pages.

  • Recent releases include Limit Over Collection: The Heroes and The Rivals, Chaos Origins, Utility Selection and Beyond the Brave, all from 2026, after Quarter Century Chronicle side:Pride in 2024. Prize and event cards have their own pages too, such as Championship Prize Cards 2026.

For the game as a whole, see the Yu-Gi-Oh! OCG page.
