FAQ
Rarity is how a print is labelled and finished, not how strong the card is in a duel. The everyday labels are Common, Rare, Super Rare, Ultra Rare and Secret Rare, alongside Ultimate Rare, Ghost Rare, Starlight Rare and Collector's Rare. Newer labels include Quarter Century Secret Rare and Platinum Secret Rare.
The same card often exists in several rarities, each sold apart. A set page such as Quarter Century Bonanza shows the rarity of every card in it.
Every Yu-Gi-Oh! card here is listed with the Standard finish, because the shine of a card is part of its rarity rather than a separate option. The treatment is in the rarity name itself: Starfoil Rare, Shatterfoil Rare, Mosaic Rare, Gold Rare or the Duel Terminal Parallel Rares.
So to find a shinier copy of a card, compare the rarities it was printed in rather than looking for a finish. The Yu-Gi-Oh! page introduces the game as a whole.
They are printings of the same card. First Edition comes from a set's first print run and Unlimited from the runs that follow, and here they are separate sets: Legend of Blue Eyes White Dragon and Legend of Blue Eyes White Dragon - Unlimited each have their own page. Limited Edition, which marks cards from special and promotional releases, is shown as a version of the card.
Check the edition line on the card before treating two copies as the same.
These are TCG cards, the Western edition of the game, listed in English, French, German, Italian, Spanish and Portuguese. A printing does not always exist in every language, so choose the language on the offer, as you would the rarity.
Japanese and Korean cards belong to the OCG, a separate edition listed apart on CardNexus. On a set page such as Rarity Collection 5, compare the language of each offer before the price.
Besides rarity and edition, some cards come in variants listed as separate items: Alternate Art, Extended Art, New Art and Japanese Artwork change the picture; Judge Stamp, OTS Stamp and Regional Stamp are stamped versions; there are also Oversized cards and Misprint copies. Other variants carry a colour name, such as Blue, Green, Purple, Red, Silver or Bronze.
Promotional lines such as Dark Duel Stories or Token Promos 4 have their own pages.
