FAQ
Starter decks and booster packs, the latter in regular and sleeved versions, are the formats for playing. Booster boxes and booster box cases are for opening a set in quantity, while starter deck displays and deck cases are the store units of one deck. Promo packs and the Edition Beta Box complete the range. For a deck, start with Gundam starter decks; for packs, see Gundam booster packs.
Start from what you want to do. To play straight away, a starter deck such as Starter Deck 11: Aquatic Assault gives you a fixed list. To add cards from one set, a few Freedom Ascension or Stardust Trails packs do the job. To open a whole set, a Gundam booster box is the step up, and a booster box case the step after that. If you are after named cards, buying singles is more direct.
Most sealed products belong to one set, and the name says which. Freedom Ascension, for example, appears as the Freedom Ascension Booster Pack, the Sleeved Booster Pack, the Booster Box and the Booster Box Case. Starter decks follow the same logic: Starter Deck 13: Silent Barrage has its deck, its display and its display case. Bonus packs such as the Starter Deck: Destiny Ignition Bonus Pack sit on the Gundam promo packs page.
Most sealed Gundam products are listed in English, Japanese and Simplified Chinese: the starter decks, the Edition Beta Box and the booster boxes from Newtype Rising to Freedom Ascension all exist in the three. The languages can differ from one set to another, so check them on each product page. If you want a set in bulk, the Gundam booster box cases page shows the language of each carton.
On the Gundam cards page, where each card is listed with its rarity, from Common to Legend Rare ++, and its finish, Standard or Holofoil. Buying singles skips the luck of opening packs. Sealed product is the better route if you enjoy opening, want a full starter deck such as Starter Deck 12: Raging Onslaught, or collect boxes unopened.
