A fixed, ready-to-play deck built around one theme, which the title gives: Starter Deck 01: Heroic Beginnings, Starter Deck 03: Zeon's Rush or Starter Deck 04: SEED Strike, for instance. Each deck also has a set page, which lists the cards inside with their rarity and finish. Read that list before buying to see exactly what you will play with.
The numbered series opens with Starter Deck 01: Heroic Beginnings, released in 2025 alongside Wings of Advance, Zeon's Rush, SEED Strike, Iron Bloom and Clan Unity. The 2026 decks run from Starter Deck 07: Celestial Drive to Starter Deck 14: Heavy Dominion. The first four decks also exist as a Gundam Assemble Starter Set, listed as a separate product.
The number and title, since Starter Deck 06: Clan Unity and Starter Deck 10: Generation Pulse are different decks. The edition: decks 01 to 04 exist both as a plain deck and as a Gundam Assemble Starter Set, two separate products. And the language, as decks are listed in English, Japanese and Simplified Chinese. One deck, say Starter Deck 13: Silent Barrage, is enough for one player. Several people learning together, or a club, can take a Gundam starter deck display, the store box of that deck repeated. Once your deck is in hand, Gundam booster packs from sets such as Dual Impact or Phantom Aria bring new cards to improve it.
