Pokémon ETB Cases

FAQ

• How many Elite Trainer Boxes are in a Pokémon ETB case?

An ETB case is the factory carton of one Elite Trainer Box, sold whole. When the French name gives a count, as in Case de 10 ETB Méga-Évolution for the Mega Evolution Elite Trainer Box Case, that is the number of boxes inside. Pokémon Center cases, like the Perfect Order Pokemon Center Elite Trainer Box Case, do not state one, so ask the seller. The cards these boxes can hold are on the ME01: Mega Evolution set page.

• Which Pokémon sets have ETB cases?

Cases are listed from the Evolutions Elite Trainer Box Case of XY - Evolutions (2016) and the Hidden Fates case (2019), through Champion's Path and Darkness Ablaze (2020), to SV04: Paradox Rift, SV03: Obsidian Flames and SV: Scarlet & Violet 151 (2023). SV: Prismatic Evolutions has several (2025), including a Dollar General Exclusive, and recent Mega Evolution sets such as ME05: Pitch Black have both a standard and a Pokémon Center case.

• What should I check before buying an ETB case?

The cases of SV: Prismatic Evolutions show why the label matters: the standard Elite Trainer Box Case, the Pokemon Center Elite Trainer Box (Exclusive) Case and the Dollar General Exclusive case are different products. Some Pokémon Center cases also name an artwork, such as Paradox Rift [Iron Valiant]. The label gives the language, one of English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Dutch or Brazilian Portuguese. Look for uncut factory tape and agree on solid packing.

• ETB case, single ETB or booster box case: which should I choose?

For one box, the Pokémon ETB page sells Elite Trainer Boxes one at a time, such as the Surging Sparks ETB, whose carton is the Surging Sparks Elite Trainer Box Case. The case suits buyers who want several identical boxes in their factory carton. If you mainly want packs in quantity, a Pokémon booster box case holds booster boxes, and a Pokémon bundle case holds booster bundles, both without the ETB accessories.
