FAQ
Several families share this page. The Play! Pokemon Prize Pack Series packs, from Series One to Series Eight, are the prize packs of the title. Promotional packs from partners sit next to them, such as the McDonald's Match & Battle Packs, the General Mills Promo Booster Pack [Kanto] or the Detective Pikachu Special Promo Booster Pack from Detective Pikachu. You will also find the Yu Nagaba x Pokemon - Eevee's Special Promo Pack and the Scan-Tastic Spectacular Promo Pack [Ho-oh & Rapidash].
The POP Series packs run from POP Series 1 (2004) to POP Series 9 (2009), each with its own set page. McDonald's packs include the McDonald's 25th Anniversary Booster Pack (2021) and the yearly Match & Battle Packs from 2022 onwards. The Trick or Trade BOOster Bundle editions from 2022 to 2024 add mini booster packs. The year or series number in the name is the quickest way to tell two packs apart.
Match the series or the year: Play! Pokemon Prize Pack Series Six and Series Seven look alike, as do the McDonald's 2022 Match & Battle Pack and the 2023 pack of McDonald's Promos 2023. A Trick or Trade BOOster Bundle 2024 - Mini Booster Pack is a single mini pack, not the bundle. Promo packs are listed in English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Dutch and Brazilian Portuguese. The wrapper should be sealed, with no crease or tear.
A Pokémon booster pack belongs to a set and is sold through regular retail. A promo pack reaches players another way: at tournaments, as with the Prize Pack Series, or through partners like McDonald's or General Mills. Once the event or the offer is over, a collector is often the only source. If one card from a pack is all you want, compare with the offers on the Pokémon cards page before buying a sealed POP Series 5 Pack.
