Pokémon Tins

FAQ

• What kinds of Pokémon tins are listed?

Several tin shapes sit side by side. Classic tins feature a Pokémon, such as the Crown Zenith Tin [Galarian Zapdos] or the Galar Partners Tin [Cinderace V]. Poké Ball tins follow a ball design, for example the Pokemon GO Poke Ball Tin - Ultra Ball. Stacking tins, the Fire, Fighting and Darkness designs tied to SWSH11: Lost Origin, are built to sit on top of each other, and collector chests such as the Fall 2022 Collector Chest are larger. Smaller ones are on the Pokémon mini tins page.

• Which sets do Pokémon tins come from?

A tin is tied to a set or to a theme. Tins are listed for sets such as XY - Evolutions (2016), Hidden Fates (2019) and Celebrations (2021), up to recent ones like SV: Paldean Fates (2024) and ME: 30th Celebration (2026). Others follow a theme, like the Mega Charizard Tin (Mega Charizard X) and its Mega Charizard Y twin. The set in the name tells you where the packs come from, but the mix of packs varies from tin to tin, so read the product page.

• What should I check before buying a Pokémon tin?

Look for the word International. Paldean Fates and SWSH: Crown Zenith tins exist in a standard and an International Version, for instance Paldean Fates Tin [Charizard ex] and Paldean Fates International Tin [Charizard ex], and they are separate products. Next comes the language: tins are listed in English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Dutch and Brazilian Portuguese, and the packs follow the tin. Finally, look at the lid and the corners in the photos, since metal dents easily.

• How is a tin different from a mini tin or a tin case?

A tin is the full-size metal box with packs and often promo cards. A Pokémon mini tin is the small version, made in many designs for one series. A Pokémon tin case is the factory carton of several tins, for example the Crown Zenith Tin Case, which carries the same designs as the Crown Zenith Tin [Galarian Articuno] and its siblings. Choose the single tin for one design, and the case for the run still packed as it left the factory.
