FAQ
It is the product played at the prerelease event held before a set comes out: booster packs of that set plus a promo card. The exact contents vary by set, so read the description of the kit you pick.
Each kit is named after its set, such as Spark of Rebellion - Prerelease Kit or Homeworlds - Prerelease Kit. The promo cards from these events are listed in the Prerelease Promos set.
One kit per main set, from Spark of Rebellion and Twilight of the Republic in 2024 to Ashes of the Empire and Homeworlds in 2026 (Mondes Natals in French).
Once the event is over, a kit is still bought to open later or to keep sealed next to the rest of a set collection.
The set name first, then the language. Kits are listed in English, French, German, Spanish and Italian; French kits carry the French set name, such as Cendres de l'Empire or Mondes Natals.
The kit must still be sealed: once opened, nothing proves the promo card and the packs are all there. Look at the box for crushing or torn film. The set page, for example Ashes of the Empire, lists the cards the packs can hold.
The kit is one unit with packs and a promo card. A prerelease case is the factory carton of several kits, such as the Homeworlds - Prerelease Kit Case.
If the promo card does not matter to you, booster packs of the same set give you the packs alone, in regular, Sleeved or Carbonite Edition versions depending on the set.
