FAQ
A booster box case is the factory carton holding several sealed booster boxes of one product. The product in the name is what the case holds: the Core Set 2021 Draft Booster Box Case holds Draft Booster boxes, and the Collector Booster Box Case of the same set holds collector boxes. The number of boxes per case varies from one product to another, so read it on the product page.
Cases here range from play and draft booster boxes to collector and Jumpstart boxes.
Cases are listed from Limited Edition Alpha, Beta, Unlimited and Arabian Nights in 1993 to sets of 2026 such as Secrets of Strixhaven, Marvel Super Heroes and The Hobbit. In between sit cases from Ikoria: Lair of Behemoths and Core Set 2021, and the Jumpstart Booster Box Case of 2020.
Some recent sets have more than one case: Star Trek comes both as a Play Booster Box Case and as a Collector Booster Box Case.
Cases of recent sets such as Reality Fracture or Marvel Super Heroes are listed in English, French, German, Italian, Spanish and Japanese. Star Trek and Mystery Booster Commander Edition cases are English only, as are the 1993 cases for Alpha or Beta.
Before buying, read the carton label: the set, the box type (play, collector, Jumpstart) and the language should all match the listing, and the factory tape should be intact.
To open one set, or to keep a single box sealed, one booster box does the job. A case is for several identical boxes at once, for example to open one Ikoria: Lair of Behemoths box and keep the others closed, or to share a case between players. Other products come by the case too, such as bundles on the Magic bundle cases page.
