FAQ
A booster box is a sealed box of booster packs from one set. The pack type is in the name: the Edge of Eternities Play Booster Box holds Play Boosters, the Foundations Jumpstart Booster Box holds Jumpstart packs, and older boxes such as Iconic Masters are Draft Booster boxes. The number of packs depends on the product, so check the listing.
Collector boosters come in their own boxes, listed on the collector booster boxes page.
Booster boxes run from Limited Edition Alpha, Beta and Arabian Nights in 1993, through Amonkhet, Hour of Devastation and Ixalan in 2017, to recent sets such as Tarkir: Dragonstorm, Final Fantasy and The Hobbit. Unstable, also from 2017, has its own box.
Since every pack in a box comes from the same set, buy the box of the set you want to open.
Check the language first. Boxes of recent sets such as Aetherdrift are listed in English, French, German, Italian, Spanish and Japanese, older ones like Ixalan add Korean, Russian, Brazilian Portuguese and Chinese, and Star Trek boxes are English only. Final Fantasy also has a Japanese Basic Booster Display, a different product from its Play Booster Box.
Then check the wrap, the corners and, for 1993 boxes, clear photos of every side.
A single booster pack is enough to try a set. The box is the usual choice to open a set in depth or keep one sealed, for instance a Foundations Play Booster Box. Several identical boxes still in their factory carton are sold as booster box cases, from Alpha to Reality Fracture.
