FAQ
It is a complete set of physical cards, received by redeeming that set on Magic Online. Each product here is named after its set, for example Bloomburrow MTGO Redemption or Gatecrash MTGO Redemption, and many exist as two products: the regular set and a Foil version, such as Bloomburrow MTGO Redemption Foil.
Unlike a pack, you know the cards in advance: it is the whole set, card by card.
Redemption sets are listed from Invasion in 2000, then Planeshift and Seventh Edition in 2001, through Return to Ravnica in 2012, Magic 2013 and Gatecrash, to Duskmourn: House of Horror in 2024. Recent sets include The Brothers' War, Dominaria United, Phyrexia: All Will Be One, Wilds of Eldraine and Outlaws of Thunder Junction.
First the set and the version: Murders at Karlov Manor MTGO Redemption and its Foil counterpart are two different products, and so are the two versions of The Lost Caverns of Ixalan MTGO Redemption.
Then the condition: ask whether the set is still in the packaging it was shipped in or was opened to be checked, and look at the photos of the cards. If a seller describes a set as complete, ask how it was counted.
A booster box of The Brothers' War gives you random packs, so completing the set from it means buying the missing cards afterwards on the Magic cards page. A redemption set is the set itself, all at once.
Pick the box if you want the opening; pick the redemption set if you want the complete set without the hunt.
