FAQ
Secret Lair is a line of limited drops sold directly by the publisher, each one a small group of cards built around an artist, a theme or a crossover. Examples here include The Art of Frank Frazetta, Special Guest Junji Ito, Sheldon's Spellbook and Secret Lair x Monty Python. Many drops exist in a regular and a foil or rainbow foil version, listed separately.
The cards from these drops are gathered on the Secret Lair Drop page, a series that began in 2019.
Besides single drops, the page holds the larger Secret Lair boxes. Secret Lair: Ultimate Edition, from 2020, comes as the Ultimate Edition Box and the Ultimate Edition 2 Box in Black or Grey. Secret Lair Countdown, from 2022, includes the 30th Anniversary Countdown Kit and An Encyclopedia of Magic.
These boxes are listed in English only, and each one is a different product with its own offers.
Read the full drop name, then the version: Secret Lair Drop Showcase Strixhaven and its Foil edition, or Secret Lair x Marvel's Storm and its Rainbow Foil edition, are different products. The language is shown on each offer, so compare it with the one you want.
Finally, look at the packaging in the photos: a sealed drop should still be in its original wrap. Single cards from drops are on the Magic cards page.
A Secret Lair drop tells you which cards you get: it is a fixed selection, such as The Dracula Lands or Slay the Day. A collector booster is a random pack from one set, built around special treatments, so you do not know what you will open.
If you want a mix of products in one box rather than a drop, look at the Magic box sets.
